The Eta Theta Chapter was exceptionally proud to be represented by our sales team at Pi Sigma Epsilons Western Regionals Conference in San Diego this semester.
Made up of President Madelynn Martinez, VP of Marketing Sarah Dillabaugh, New Member Director, Vice President Megan Carter, VP of Finance Sebastian Zevallos, Director of Operations George Reyes, along with two outstanding general members Ms. Jennifer Morin and Mr. Gregory Berg, our team arrived on site ready to compete. We could not be prouder of all of our entire team, however we are especially happy for three ladies who placed top 6 in the Pro-Am Sell-A-Thon competition, as well as another for placing in the top 3 for the Speakers Competition. The entire group of devout men and women have been hard at work for the last two months in preparation for this rigorous competition. Additionally, we would like to extend our thanks to the one and only Seufferlein Sales Program for all of their assistance throughout the training process!

This particular Thursday evening was a special one for our Eta Theta chapter and the Chico community. A handful of our members had the pleasure of volunteering with our local Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley at their annual "Pasta in the Plaza" event.
This year, the Boys & Girls Club and their volunteers were able to serve hearty meals and baked goods to over five hundred people. With the incredible turnout, and the help of the community as a whole, this wonderful organization was able to raise more than twenty thousand dollars for the Chico youth. Volunteering with the Boys & Girls Club was such a gratifying experience for our organization; the Eta Theta Chapter as a whole is looking forward to lending a hand in the future! The Seufferlein Sales Program's (SSP) "Fall Kick-Off" event was a night to remember. Although generously hosted by the SSP, many organizations from the Chico State College of Business were represented including our very own Pi Sigma Epsilon, Eta Theta chapter.
Essentially, the event allows for the College of Business to showcase their programs of distinction and marvelous organizations. Pi Sigma Epsilon's Eta Theta Chapter had a wonderful time networking with the driven individuals and devoted faculty members that attended. In addition, our lovely New Member Director, Ellen Falltrick, presented some valuable insight that she picked up throughout her college career. Falltrick has recently been appointed as a Sales Ambassador for the Seufferlein Sales Program, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her representing our chapter. In PSE, the P stands for philanthropy... Just kidding! Our members certainly could have fooled us, though. At the 30th Annual Bidwell Clean-Up, a handful of our members had the pleasure of participating in the preservation of Chico's beautiful Bidwell Park.
In all, our team must have picked up at least ten full-sized garbage bags of waste from our local Big Chico Creek. Eta Theta is grateful to have the opportunity to make a difference within the community that is constantly giving back to all of us! Just look at all of these smiling faces! Our members had a great time working alongside hundreds of other incredible Chico locals, and are looking forward to future volunteering opportunities! It's the time of year we've all been waiting for: New member time! Pi Sigma Epsilon's Eta Theta chapter welcomes the new members from our Fall 2017 semester recruitment efforts! These amazing new members met our dedicated chapter at many events including Wild About Business, Clubtacular and of course, our daily table on Chico State's campus.
Once we showed these prospective new members (PNMs) what PSE is all about, they attended many different activities with our chapter including our semi-annual Bear Burger Fundraiser, Scavenger Hunt, Under the Sea Night, and Hot Dog Fundraiser. Our driven PNMs then charged through the chapter's initiates process by showing their individual skills as well as their aptitude for teamwork. We could not be prouder of these incredible students and feel truly honored to have them joining our chapter. With these smiling faces by our side, Eta Theta's future only shines brighter every day. It's no secret that Eta Theta has the most dedicated president, however, she was joined by many other passionate presidents from other Pi Sigma Epsilon chapters at the annual Presidents Retreat, held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. These incredibly driven people spent the retreat not only sharing tips and tricks on the best ways to run their chapter, but also participated in multiple professional development workshops. Upon her return to Chico, President Martinez felt more excited than ever to kick off a great Fall 2017 semester.
The Spring 2017 semester may have ended but Pi Sigma Epsilon's Eta Theta members aren't slowing down. Throughout the beautiful summer months, our members experienced more than just some incredible heat waves.
Our own president, Madelynn Martinez, spent time fishing with family, Vice President, Megan Carter, had a blast in Cabo San Lucas Mexico and New Member Director, Ellen Falltrick spent time at the Oakland A's Stadium, watching the team take a win. In addition, our very own Braden Hoffer and VP of Marketing, Sarah Dillabaugh, took incredible trips through Europe, One of our other lovely board members, Nani Edmonson did some traveling of her own by exploring Thailand and our wonderful Director of Public Relations, Rebecca Stern traveled north along the coast to stay in Portland. We're sure that these highlights can't even come close to comparing what the entire chapter did over summer, but we're excited to have our members back for the new semester so that we may hear all about their various endeavors. Our annual Senior Send-Off ceremony was a complete success! Each of our Seniors received a framed picture of our entire Eta Theta Chapter and an adorable Mason Jar filled with a heartfelt message from each one of our members. There were definitely some waterworks during the slideshow that our lovely Marketing Department put together! Each of these incredible individuals will be missed dearly. We all look forward to their visits sometime in the near future!
Here are some of the many photographs that were taken while our National's Team were in St. Louis, Missouri, competing against numerous other Chapter's scattered across the Nation. While at the National Convention, our members had the incredible opportunity to showcase, and build upon, their sales, marketing, and management skills for an entire week! Our fabulous team of eight enjoyed themselves by competing in elaborate competitions, attending extravagant networking dinners, and taking home a great deal of knowledge and advice from Chapters across the United States! Just when we thought that the experience couldn't become any more surreal, our Chapter ended up taking home the "Top New Chapter" Award. An absolutely incredible feat for our two-year-old Eta Theta Family!
Pi Sigma Epsilon would like to present to you our newest Eta Theta Chapter Members! In all, we have received seven lovely new women and ten handsome men; all incredible additions to our organization. Their diligent work that's been put toward our chapter over the last two months have proven them beyond worthy of a spot in our family. Congratulations to all of these men and women!
